Abstract

DANK TALKS: Hybride Veranstaltungsreihe und interdisziplinäres Forschungsnetzwerk.

In this talk S()fia Braga is presenting her work Platform Workshippers (2023-2025), currently on view in the group show „Platform Wars“ at Camera Austria Graz. The installation explores the logics of centralized platforms, self-marketing, and digital labor—from daily vloggers and NPC streamers to WIII-GRWM creators—and connects these practices to the tree of life as a mythological-religious symbol. Braga highlights how platform work can be both labor and ritual, revealing the power dynamics at play.
