Daisy Tam: „To me, artistic research means: learning through doing.“
Daisy Tam is Associate Professor at the Department of Humanities and Creative Writing at the Hong Kong Baptist University.
She received her Ph.D. in Cultural Studies from Goldsmiths, University of London. Her research in urban food systems and critical cultural analysis on food waste is a theoretical and technical endeavour underpinned by an interest in ethical practices of care. She collaborates closely with community organisations and works in an interdisciplinary and impact-driven manner.
She won the Fulbright Senior Scholar Award at MIT in 2018-19 and developed Hong Kong's first public digital food rescue platform Breadline, and founded HKFoodWorks - a registered charity to advance education and community action for better food futures.

Die Interviewserie about Art and Research (aAaR) wurde konzipiert von PD Dr. Martina Leeker und wird gemeinsam mit Prof. Dr. Konstanze Schütze durchgeführt; Launch im September 2023. Sie ist eine Kooperation zwischen dem Fachbereich Kunst & Kunsttheorie am Department Kunst und Musik der Universität zu Köln und dem Institut Kunst an der Pädagogischen Hochschule Karlsruhe.
